Road Wisdom: Touring Artists on Survival, Success and Sustainability

TIME: 4:05 PM

LOCATION: Wolf Performance Hall • 251 Dundas Street • London, ON

Touring is essential to building sustainable careers in music, but artists continue to face significant barriers related to travel costs, cross-border regulations, accommodation, visas, accessibility and limited touring support. This panel will bring together touring musicians and industry professionals to explore the realities of life on the road and identify policy changes that could make touring more accessible and sustainable. From improved funding and artist mobility programs to stronger regional touring networks and more supportive municipal policies, the discussion will focus on practical solutions that can help Canadian artists get on the road successfully and sustainably.
