As Director of the Ontario Music Office, Marina leads a dedicated and talented team in delivering funding and economic development programs to Ontario’s music industry, including initiatives designed to help increase access for equity-deserving music businesses and professionals to funding and business supports. In 2017, she was instrumental in introducing the international Keychange campaign to Canadian Music Week to promote gender parity in Ontario’s music industry, and in 2020 was nominated for Women in Music Canada’s “Elevate” feature for industry leaders who inspire.Marina has previously held government positions in international trade and investment attraction, finance, communications, and culture industries policy. In another life, she was a post-production sound professional on numerous film and television projects, earning an Emmy award for her work on a TV miniseries. In the early 2000s, Marina could also be found playing music with an indie band that twice toured Canada.
