Rooted in the forests of Bergslagen and shaped by decades in Stockholm’s creative sphere, Sanna Åkerlund Gebeyehu now lives and works in Norrköping. She moves fluidly between design, art, and architecture—developing concepts, curating experiences, and guiding creative processes that connect identity, place, and emotion.

Her practice explores identity sensitivity: the art of translating stories, materials, and local contexts into experiences that resonate on both an intimate and collective level. Sanna’s projects often unfold in the space between brand and art, where curiosity meets clarity, and where collaboration becomes a creative language in itself.

Sanna is also a board member of Peking House Festival, an electronic music festival in Norrköping that presents local, national, and international acts alongside art and culinary experiences. The festival reflects her deep commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration and community-driven creativity.

With long-standing collaborations spanning Amos Rex, Spotify, The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, Iittala, Stockholm Design Week, and many others, Sanna continues to shape meaningful encounters that merge creativity, sustainability, and a strong sense of place.
